Shrink Wrapping Guide & Machine Selection
Which Equipment Do You Need?
A shrink wrapping system normally combines film sealing or wrapping equipment with a compatible heat shrink tunnel.
| Equipment | Main Application |
|---|---|
| L-Sealer Machines | Sealing and cutting film around suitable individual products or grouped packs within the machine’s sealing area. |
| Side Sealer Machines | Side sealing configurations for different product sizes, output requirements and larger products, depending on the model. |
| Sleeve Sealing Machines | PE film sleeve wrapping for suitable individual products and multipacks, typically with openings at two ends. |
| Automatic Tray Shrink Wrapping Systems | Product grouping, cardboard tray forming, film wrapping and shrinking for tray-supported packs. |
| Heat Shrink Tunnels | Applying controlled heat to shrink compatible packaging film after sealing or wrapping. |
Machine and film compatibility must be assessed together. POF, PE and other shrink films have different sealing and shrinking requirements.

From Product Assessment to Production Support
Share your product and expected packaging result with our team. We review the pack format, required output, available space and any existing equipment before recommending a configuration. Product sample testing and demonstrations of selected equipment can be discussed in advance, subject to machine, film and sample availability. Our in-house technical team provides installation, commissioning, operator training and after-sales support according to the agreed scope.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need both a sealing machine and a shrink tunnel?
For most product shrink wrapping applications, the film is sealed or wrapped around the product before entering a heat shrink tunnel. The tunnel shrinks the film; it normally does not perform the sealing step. Your quotation will specify the equipment included.
2. Should I choose semi-automatic or fully automatic equipment?
The choice depends on your target output, product handling, available operators and production layout. Semi-automatic equipment requires operator involvement, while automatic configurations can incorporate suitable feeding and grouping arrangements.
3. Can the equipment connect to my existing production line?
Integration can be assessed based on conveyor height, product flow, controls, available space and required output. Send us your line photos and equipment details for review.
4. Can my product and film be tested?
Testing can be discussed using suitable product and film samples. Please confirm the required machine, materials and testing arrangements with our team in advance.
5. Is this the same as shrink sleeve labelling?
No. Product shrink wrapping encloses individual products or groups in packaging film. Shrink sleeve labelling shrinks a pre-applied label around a container. The equipment and selection requirements are different.

Let’s Discuss Your Packaging Requirements
Send us the following information so we can assess a suitable solution:
- Product photos and dimensions: length × width × height.
- Product weight.
- Required packaging style: individual pack, multipack or tray-supported pack.
- Pack arrangement: for example, six bottles in a 2 × 3 arrangement.
- Target output: finished packs per minute.
- Film details or an expected finished-pack photo, if available.
- Existing equipment and available floor space, if integration is required.
